Automated immigration clearance in Singapore for eligible Australian passports

Eligible Australian passport holders will be able to sign up for automated immigration clearance, enabling them to use the automated gantries at Singapore’s checkpoints when they arrive in Singapore.

When does the automated immigration clearance in Singapore for eligible Australian passport holders start?

October 2015.

Who can apply?

Australian passport holders aged 6 and above who have visited Singapore at least three times in the past 12 months and have no adverse record in Singapore.

How to apply?

To apply, Australian citizens can bring their passports with remaining validity of at least six months, and a recent colour passport-sized photograph to:

  • Changi Airport,
  • Woodlands Checkpoint;
  • Tuas Checkpoint; or
  • Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Building.

Enrolment is on a voluntary basis and those aged 17 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Documentary proof of their relationship must be presented.

How much does it cost to apply?

Free.
